The call for applications to the PhD courses in Science and Engineering for the Environment and Sustainability (XXXVIII cycle) has been published at the University of Campania “Luigi Vanvitelli”.
The coordinator of the Ph.D. courses – Prof. Diego Vicinanza – informs that special attention will be given to issues relating to traditional and innovative coastal engineering, in particular on marine renewable energy (waves, currents, wind). In particular, there will be a grant co-financed by FINCANTIERI S.p.A. to develop a project called “Development of hydrodynamic models and technologies for the concept of the Floating Energy Archipelago”. The winner of the grant will have to develop the research activities at the MARELAB in Naples, the CNR-INM in Rome and at FINCANTIERI S.p.A. in Trieste. The Mission 4, component 2 “From Research to Business” DM352 implies a close training of the doctoral student in collaboration with FINCANTIERI S.p.A. to build a professional figure that responds to the innovation needs of the company and promotes the recruitment of researchers in companies.
