SInERT (Solutions innovantes pour l’intégration des énergies renouvelables distribuées sur le réseau électrique tunisien) kicked off on November 5th

In the framework of the Italy-Tunisia cross-border cooperation program 2014-2020, the kick-off meeting of project SInERT was held on 05/11/2020. The leader of the project is the École  Supérieure  des  Communications  de  Tunis  (SUP’COM), in partnership with the Institute of Marine Engineering of the National Research Council, ACTIA  Engineering  Services  (AES), Layer  Electronics  S.r.l. and University of Palermo. The project is aimed at finding innovative solutions for distributed renewable energy source integration on Tunisian electrical grid (project title: Solutions innovantes pour l’intégration des énergies renouvelables distribuées sur le réseau électrique tunisien). In particular, two demonstrators will be realized in the islands of Kerkennah (Tunisia) and Ustica (Italy). Members of the associated partners STEG (Société Tunisienne de l’Electricité et du Gaz), SOPES (Ustica desalination plant managment company) and D’Anna e Bonaccorsi (Ustica electrical distribution system operator) attended the kick-off meeting highlighting their interests in the project outcomes, to solve critical problems of electrical distribution network of small islands. The meeting was attended also by representatives of Local STC (Secrétariat Technique Conjoint) antenna, National authority, STC and AG (Autorité de Gestion du programme), who congratulated SInERT team for the clarity of the points presented and the well-defined action plan.
